On September 29, 2015, 25Space officially came to life.
What started as an idea to provide cloud-based software for our customers has grown into a company that delivers hosting, software, and cloud services to businesses and individuals worldwide.
But our story goes back even further…
🚀 From Idea to Reality
Fun Fact: Before founding the company, our team of five had already been developing software together since 2009. What began as passion projects quickly turned into solutions that people relied on.
📜 The Software Journey
- 2010 – Online Work Station (ONWS)
Under the name MD-Soft, we launched ONWS, a browser-based operating system that allowed users to work from anywhere, anytime. - 2012 – ONWS X
Improved usability, a new media section, and early mobile optimization made ONWS X more versatile. - 2010–2015 – ORANGE M & mdctTV
Alongside software, we built a full IT news and entertainment division with its own portal, event coverage, and even a media TV channel. In 2015, we decided to focus solely on IT and software, closing this chapter. - 2012 – Lion Server
With Lion, we entered the server and client management market, helping businesses manage Windows servers and clients—first via console, later with a full UI. - 2012 – RobSafe Backup
Our first Windows Server backup software, providing clear and incremental directory backups directly from CMD. - 2014 – Building the Cloud
We released our first Cloud Manager to link local and cloud IT resources. This would eventually evolve into our current Cloud Management Suite.

- 2015 – Official Company Founding
On September 29, 2015, we founded our company in Bavaria, Germany. This marked the beginning of our official journey. - 2015 – Cloud Office
Our first SaaS invoicing and ERP experiment. Though discontinued, it set the stage for future SaaS developments. - 2015 – Lion Server 2015
The last Lion release, still running on Windows Server 2025 today!

- 2018 – Cloud Management Suite (v1)
The central hub for managing our products and customer services—still our core platform today, now in its 4th generation. - 2018 – Virtual Server Hosting
Our first managed virtual Linux servers, starting with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. - 2019 – Enter 25Space
A new name, a new brand. 25Space symbolizes 25 hours of availability in the cloud. This was the start of a complete rebrand. - 2020 – Business Mail
A new, mobile-ready email service for modern digital communication. - 2021 – Windows Server Hosting
Extending our hosting portfolio with Windows Server options. - 2023 – AI Services
From customer chatbots to AI-generated videos, we introduced AI into our ecosystem. - 2024 – The Super-App ONE
From Welcome to ONE—a central hub integrating services like 25Share, QR Code Generator, URL Shortener, and more. - 2025 – Managed Databases & Certificate Check
A long-standing internal tool officially launched as a service. Flexible, secure, and reliable.
