To keep your websites secure, fast, and compatible with modern applications, we are upgrading all Managed Hosting environments to at least PHP 8.3—and in most cases, we will move customers directly to PHP 8.4 as the new default.
Why we’re doing this
PHP is a core component of your hosting stack. Newer PHP versions deliver meaningful improvements in:
- Security: More up-to-date protection and a stronger baseline for secure operations
- Performance: Faster execution and better efficiency for many workloads
- Compatibility: Better support for current CMS, plugins, frameworks, and libraries
What changes for you (Managed Hosting)
If you are using our Managed Hosting, the update is handled by us as part of platform maintenance. In most cases, no action is required on your side.
If your application uses older plugins, themes, or custom code, you may want to run a quick compatibility check (especially for legacy WordPress/WooCommerce extensions or older PHP libraries). If you need support, we are happy to assist.
Important: Virtual Servers are excluded
This update does not apply to Virtual Server (VPS / virtual server) environments. These systems are managed individually and require a separate, explicit upgrade request.
If you are running a virtual server and want to upgrade to PHP 8.3 or 8.4, please contact us—we will coordinate the change based on your stack, application requirements, and maintenance window.
